This was the central theme presented by agroecology advocates at the recent Financing Agri-Food Systems Sustainably (FINAS 2026) Conference in Nairobi. They emphasized the need for increased investment in sustainable agriculture, coupled with the creation of reliable markets to reward farmers for producing healthy food while protecting the environment.
