Deadline for Political Party Registration Announced
Political parties aiming to participate in South Sudan’s 2026 general elections must register by June 30, 2026. This guideline was set forth by the Political Parties Council (PPC).
On June 1, the council released a public notice outlining the registration requirements. All prospective political parties must complete their registration by the established deadline to qualify for the elections.
PPC Chairperson James Akol Zakayo emphasized the importance of adhering to this timeline. He stated, “The Political Parties Council (PPC) advises all aspiring political groups of the upcoming regulatory timeline for the 2026 General Elections.”
