THE AFRICA TIMES | KENYA — Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMASTEA), Gladys Masai, has urged stakeholders to invest more in research and teacher training. This investment aims to inspire greater numbers of young individuals to pursue Physics and other Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) subjects.
Ms. Masai emphasized that strengthening research and building teachers’ capacity are crucial for nurturing the next generation of innovators. These efforts will contribute significantly to the long-term growth of the country’s scientific and technological landscape.
She noted that investing in educators and research will further equip learners with the knowledge and skills essential for driving national development.
