THE AFRICA TIMES | SOUTH AFRICA — South Africa, Egypt, and Morocco are key hubs for ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs) on the continent. According to Knight Frank’s The Wealth Report 2026, all three countries are projected to expand their wealthy populations by 2031.

South Africa leads Africa, ranking 37th globally with 1,347 UHNWIs in 2026. Projections indicate this number will increase to 1,564 by 2031.
Egypt follows in second place with 822 UHNWIs, while Morocco ranks third with 432. Both nations are expected to experience growth in their ultra-wealthy populations, indicating ongoing wealth creation in these major economies.
