South Sudan’s suspended Petroleum Minister, Puot Kang Chol, has firmly denied allegations regarding his involvement in purchasing arms and ammunition linked to an attack on the Nasir garrison. This denial was made during a session at the Special Court, conducted to examine the circumstances surrounding the event.
Witness Testimonies Presented
During the proceedings, South African digital forensic expert Ratlhogo Peter Calvin Rafadi provided evidence suggesting that Chol had sent funds to SPLM-IO commander Brig. Gen. Okdor Chuol Diet. According to Rafadi, these funds were supposedly allocated for procuring weapons used in the Nasir attack.
