Arrests of Parliamentarians in South Sudan
South Sudan’s National Security Service (NSS) has announced the arrest and detention of three Members of Parliament. They face accusations of forgery and unlawful use of presidential symbols of authority.
In a statement dated May 19, the Internal Security Bureau (ISB) of the NSS detailed the charges. The apprehended individuals, identified as Kom Kom Geng, Ayii Ayii Akol, and Achan Agoth Aciec, are linked to various criminal offenses tied to financial investigations.

The NSS charges include forgery of signatures, unlawful use of presidential symbols, document smuggling, and interference with investigations involving 16 detained individuals. These individuals are accused of financial misconduct and other related crimes.
