THE AFRICA TIMES | CHAD — Chad is intensifying its efforts to enhance girls’ access to quality education. This initiative comprises a significant school infrastructure and literacy project, supported by the African Development Bank (AfDB). The new facilities aim to equip young women with essential scientific, technological, and digital skills.
Project Overview
The Girls’ Education and Women’s Literacy Project (PEFAF) is executed by the Chadian government in collaboration with the AfDB. After five years of investment in educational infrastructure, this project is nearing completion. Its design includes scholarships and community engagement programs aimed at improving girls’ school attendance and retention rates.
