THE AFRICA TIMES | BOTSWANA — Tanzanian billionaire Mohammed “Mo” Dewji is exploring new investment opportunities in Botswana. This move aligns with Botswana’s efforts to attract regional capital and diversify its economy, moving beyond its traditional reliance on diamonds.
High-Level Meetings in Gaborone
Dewji, who serves as the chief executive of Mohammed Enterprises Tanzania Ltd (MeTL), met with Botswana President Duma Gideon Boko and senior government officials in Gaborone. The discussions focused on potential investments via the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) and various economic sectors.
Additionally, Dewji conferred with Vice President and Finance Minister Ndaba Gaolathe, Bank of Botswana Governor Cornelius Dekop, and Neo Mooki, Chairperson of the Botswana Stock Exchange. These meetings aimed to evaluate opportunities for investment
