THE AFRICA TIMES | MONGOLIA —
Delegates at the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) COP17 summit agreed on the development of the Business4Land (B4L) platform. This initiative aims to connect finance with green value chains, as host country Mongolia announced the launch of the Rangelands Flagship Initiative.
The agreements emerged during the Ministerial dialogue on Innovative Financial Mechanisms for Healthy Land and Drought Resilience. This gathering convened UNCCD Parties alongside government officials, business, and civil society leaders.
Business4Land Platform
The newly agreed B4L platform aims to integrate consumption, production, and finance. It will incorporate environmental and social standards, alongside financial products focused on preserving natural capital.
