Teachers of Mathematics and Integrated Sciences in Vihiga County recently participated in a three-day Strengthening of Mathematics and Science in Secondary Education (SMASSE) training. This initiative aimed to enhance the teaching and learning of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) subjects through the use of virtual laboratories.
Training Overview
The training took place at Bunyore Girls High School from Wednesday to Friday. It focused on equipping teachers with vital digital skills under the theme, ‘Harnessing Virtual Laboratory for Effective Learning in STEM Education’.
The objective was to strengthen practical teaching approaches by integrating technology into classroom instruction. The program achieved 100 percent attendance, demonstrating a strong commitment among teachers to professional development
