Leadership Changes in Eastern Equatoria State
Eastern Equatoria State Governor Louis Lobong Lojore has enacted significant leadership changes in Torit County. He has suspended Commissioner Lokang Charles Italian indefinitely and appointed Eddy William Ponsiano Boyle as the caretaker commissioner.
Gubernatorial Decree Issuance
The changes were formalized through two gubernatorial decrees issued on July 15, 2026. In Gubernatorial Decree No. 13/2026, the governor announced the indefinite suspension of Lokang Charles Italian.
