Detention of Suspects in Livestock Theft Case
BENTIU – Authorities in Leer County, Unity State, have apprehended five individuals suspected of stealing and illegally slaughtering goats belonging to local community members in the Juong area. This action follows an operation conducted by local police, as confirmed by Police Director General Brig. Gen. Samuel Machul Nguen.
Details of the Arrest
The arrests occurred on Thursday, and the suspects remain in custody while investigations are ongoing. Machul revealed that the suspects were discovered with cooking equipment, the heads of multiple slaughtered goats, and one live goat, believed to have been stolen from residents.
The recovered goat was returned to its rightful owner. Authorities are actively working to determine the full circumstances surrounding this incident.
