New Leadership in Jonglei State Revenue Authority
BOR – Garang John Maker was sworn in on Tuesday as the new Chairperson of the Independent State Revenue Authority Commission in Jonglei State. His primary commitment is to enhance tax collection systems and implement economic reforms aimed at improving the state’s financial performance.
Swearing-in Ceremony
The ceremony took place in Bor and was presided over by the Governor of Jonglei State, Dr. Riek Gai Kok. The governor tasked Garang with the responsibility of improving domestic revenue generation and enhancing institutional efficiency.
After taking the oath of office, Garang expressed his intent to collaborate closely with the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Investment. He aims to modernize revenue collection mechanisms and strengthen accountability within the state’s financial systems.
