Climate Change as an Economic Opportunity President Tinubu addressed the theme of bridging Africa with the global energy future. He also noted transforming climate imperatives into economic prosperity. Tinubu emphasized that climate change represents an economic opportunity. The opportunity involves reshaping the global energy sector. Tinubu underlined that no nation can tackle climate change alone. Innovation, collaboration, and global unity are crucial for success. “We are at a critical juncture… we must act as one global community,” Tinubu stated. Nigeria’s Commitment to Sustainability Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s dedication to reducing carbon emissions. His government has developed policies to balance local realities with global expectations. Nigeria’s energy transition plans prioritize cleaner energy sources. The plans also involve diversifying energy sources. The government seeks reduced dependency on fossil fuels. Promotion of Compressed Natural Gas and electric vehicles is underway. The transition also supports the use of solid minerals. Climate-Smart Agriculture and Clean Cooking Nigeria is also focused on climate-smart agricultural practices. These practices aim to boost food security. They also reduce environmental harm, which is critical for the country.</ Tinubu highlighted the National Clean Cooking Policy. It is a key initiative for promoting clean energy.
