THE AFRICA TIMES | KENYA — The Media Council of Kenya (MCK) aims to establish modern media workstations in Isiolo and Meru counties. This initiative intends to strengthen journalism and enhance coverage of development and community issues in anticipation of the 2027 General Election.
Strategic Plans and Initiatives
MCK board members announced these plans during a meeting with journalists in Isiolo town. They also visited the Kenya News Agency (KNA) offices, where they inspected the agency’s ICT centre and resource facilities.
Board Chairman Maina Muiruri indicated that the two workstations would be developed simultaneously and are expected to be operational prior to the election.
