THE AFRICA TIMES | EGYPT — Egypt has retained its seat on the Executive Board of the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) until 2029, as confirmed by the Ministry of Agriculture. This decision extends the country’s influential role in the continent’s leading agricultural research body.
Continued Representation
The Ministry announced that Egypt will continue to be represented by the Agricultural Research Center (ARC). This renewal reflects the confidence that African member states have in Egypt’s contributions to agricultural research and sustainable development.
Key Meetings and Approvals
The renewal was approved during meetings held by FARA’s Executive Board and General Assembly. These meetings took place on the sidelines of the Ninth Africa Agriculture Science Week in Abuja, Nigeria.
