THE AFRICA TIMES | KENYA — Chief Justice (CJ) Martha Koome has called upon members of the Judiciary to actively engage with the public. This engagement should extend beyond courtroom judgments to include books, scholarship, memoirs, reflections, and intellectual discourse.
CJ Koome emphasized that legal scholarship serves to demystify the law, thereby enhancing judicial literacy among citizens. She highlighted that through literature and public conversations, the judiciary can become more accessible, enabling citizens to grasp court decisions and the underlying principles that motivate judicial reasoning.
