Introduction of Advanced Document Production Machines
The Directorate of Civil Registry, Nationality, Passport, and Immigration has recently unveiled advanced machines to expedite the production of passports and national identity documents in South Sudan.
Details of the New Equipment
During a press conference held in Juba, Elia Costa Faustino, the Director General of Immigration, announced the arrival of five modern machines. This includes two dedicated to passport production and three for nationality and ID card processing.
Faustino emphasized that the new equipment is a significant upgrade from the previous system. He anticipates that this will notably reduce the delays applicants have faced in recent years.
