THE AFRICA TIMES | ZAMBIA — While the International Air Transport Association (IATA) projects intra-African air travel to grow at an annual compound rate of 4.9% through 2050, the average South African holidaymaker often favors a café in Amsterdam over a game drive in the Luangwa Valley.
This trend is, however, beginning to shift. As global travel routes face increased disruptions from conflicts and airspace closures, a rising number of travelers are turning their attention inward towards African destinations.
Changing Perspectives on Travel
