Recent Developments in Oil Production
The decline in oil prices follows an agreement by OPEC+ to increase oil production by an additional 188,000 barrels per day starting in August. This decision reflects what OPEC+ describes as a healthy market outlook while reaffirming its commitment to market stability and responsiveness to evolving conditions.
However, reduced crude prices have not quickly translated into lower fuel costs across Africa.
