THE AFRICA TIMES | CÔTE D’IVOIRE — TechnipFMC has secured a significant subsea contract from Italy’s Eni for the Baleine Phase 3 development offshore Côte d’Ivoire. This contract supports the expansion of production from the country’s largest hydrocarbon discovery.
Contract Highlights
In a statement, TechnipFMC detailed that the contract encompasses the design and manufacture of flexible flowlines and risers. These will connect subsea wells at approximately 1,200 meters depth to a new floating production unit.
This infrastructure is vital for Baleine Phase 3, the latest stage in an expedited offshore development. The initiative aims to enhance hydrocarbon output from the Baleine field, now considered essential for Côte d’Ivoire’s expanding energy sector.
