Morocco and Spain Strengthen Bilateral Ties
Spain’s government lauded the “excellent” relationship between Morocco and Spain. This statement was made ahead of the 13th High-Level Meeting between the two nations. The meeting took place in Madrid on Wednesday.
Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska inaugurated a new Civil Guard center in Albacete province. He stated that the meeting occurs during a period of “wonderful” relations. This underscores the importance of the bilateral discussions.
Deepening Cooperation and Mutual Respect
Morocco and Spain maintain “brotherly relations” based on “respect and responsibility.” Both governments collaborate with this spirit. This commitment aids in addressing common challenges.
Grande-Marlaska noted that bilateral cooperation has reached “outstanding levels.” Security cooperation, in particular, demonstrates a “close partnership.” This partnership helps protect the citizens of both countries.

Morocco’s Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch emphasized the strategic importance of Morocco-Spain partnership. He spoke at the Morocco-Spain Economic Forum’s closing in Madrid. He highlighted the opportunity to strengthen ties even further.
Akhannouch conveyed that both countries have a “unique opportunity” to transform their partnership. It has the potential to become a driving force for Africa-Europe relations. Morocco and Spain can serve as crucial hubs in this endeavor.
