THE AFRICA TIMES | ETHIOPIA — AlHuda Centre of Islamic Banking and Economics (AlHuda CIBE) has entered into a partnership with Ethiopia’s Digaf MFI. This collaboration designates the institution as the official technology sponsor for the 6th International Interest-Free Banking and Takaful Forum, scheduled to be held in Addis Ababa.
The event is set to take place on August 17, 2026. Under the patronage of the National Bank of Ethiopia, the forum will adopt the theme “Connecting Global Expertise with Africa’s Emerging Islamic Finance Markets.” It aims to unite global leaders, regulators, financial institutions, FinTech companies, and development organizations to expedite the advancement of interest-free finance across Africa.
